The WBG Concept

World Board GamesPosted by World Board Games Administrator 2013-01-31 13:26

World Board Games is a concept from the developers of Yatzy World. Yatzy is the first game in a planned series of board games for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. If a user registers an account in one of the games the user gets a WBG account and will be able to log in to all the games in the series with the same account.

This blog will cover all World Board Games and the same goes for the new Facebook group and Twitter channel. All World Board Game websites can be found from

Welcome to the new world of board games!

Train Words v1.4 doesn't work. PLAY button not accessible

I'm a huge fan and avid Battleships Worlds player. Can you please develop additional levels beyond just Admiral? Perhaps next ranks could be Rear Admiral, Secretary of the Navy, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Secretary of Defense, and then there's nothing beyond that except for Poseidon. The game could also use a play against computer option, but the additional levels is the highest priority. Thank you for an opportunity to provide feedback. I've chatted with others who are also very keen about the idea of more levels. The social and international nature of the game is marvelous. Thank you.

I underscribe what Highway6 said some 2 years ago. It would be great to be able to invite players directly from the rankings. It would be great to be able to contact a player outside a game, see the stats of a player outside a game. So a link to this functionality, which is already existing in the app, but from a ranking list is far more convenient than the way Highway6 describes. An option to be paired with a random opponent of about the same level would be great too. Often a random opponent leaves you with a anonymus rookie that doesn't play and leave you with an auto-resign after 48 hrs. Also, not getting points when an opponent resigns if he/she is in a lost position is frustrating too. A great addition would also be to have an in-app tournament. I hope you can do anything with this feedback. Thank you. P.s. This concerns Reversi

I would love to be able to play against the computer when none of my friends are available in Yahtzee.

I hate the fact that if you don't/can't make moves in a game you're automatically resigned and you loose points. that sucks. I understand that if people aren't playing for "a while" then the game should be terminated but sometimes I don't get a chance to play for a day or two and wham! i'm shut down. Since I've paid for this program I should be able to play when ever. for those who don't pay to bad!

I second Highway6's comment below. Specially the part about win-loss record vs specific opponents. :)

Love reversi world... Good to finally have an app that has rankings and attracts good players. I have some requests for future updates to make it better though. 1. Make rankings elo-based.. Reward players for challenging and beating tough opponents. A 95% win ratio built on a lunch of cupcakes is meaningless. 2. Allow us to challenge a player directly from the rankings list. Having to look in rankings, remember name, backtrack to search, type in name exact.... Is a very convoluted way to challenge a player. 3. If possible, allowing us to see win-loss record vs specific opponents would be great. Thank you

Battleships World: When loosing a game I would like to see where my competitor placed his/her ships on the board. Sometimes I'm looking for the last ship, very often the smallest, but if I loose I will never know...very frustrating.

Catalonia is not a country, even if it's an autonomous part of Spain. It would be too much to expect the makers of this game to keep track of each independent part or region of all the countries in the world. Please put the effort into making the game implementation itself better!

My country is not on the list. "Catalonia" Thanks

Ja, rankingen måste innehålla minus annars meningslöst att spela. Samt, en othellomatch 33-31 är inte nästan lika utan 1-0

Great game this one! But in the next update I want to see how many saved rolls I have, also when it's not my turn.

Yatzy World - Great game but could add a more competitive edge if you lost points for losing, say 5 points, that way you could go down in the rankings instead of constantly adding points meaning you keep going up win or lose.

Backgammon? Mancala? Fia med knuff?

Vilket blir nästa spel? Dam? Schack?

my ten wins seem to be ignored by achievement are resignations by others blocking this? I have had several games disappear without resignations are winners getting points n wins for opponents resignations?
